JUDGE JUDY ACTING WORKSHOP

  • Laugh until you cry in this acting workshop with veteran casting director and award-winning filmmaker John Clayton Doyle.

    Using transcripts from memorable cases, participants will have the opportunity to portray America’s favorite no-nonsense judge while others take turns playing plaintiff and defendant. The four-week workshop will culminate in a final presentation that family and friends can watch virtually.

    WORKSHOP FEE
    This is my inaugural virtual workshop. The first cohort will asked to be patient as I iron out the technical kinks. Therefore it is being offered on a reduced sliding scale of $25 - $100 for the four week workshop. A $25 deposit is requested to reserve your spot in the first cohort.

    MATERIALS
    Participants will be encouraged to purchase an Amazon wig and select garments to reflect their role from the shoulders upwards.

REAL HOUSEWIVES ACTING WORKSHOP

  • Laugh until you cry in this acting workshop with veteran casting director and award-winning filmmaker John Clayton Doyle.

    Using transcripts from various Real Housewives franchises, each participant will dive into the nooks and crannies of these iconic characters during heated and memeable exchanges.

    The four-week workshop will culminate in a final presentation that family and friends can watch virtually.

    MISSING SESSIONS
    It’s understandable if you have to miss a session, but because these cohorts are small, your absence will be felt. If paying on a sliding scale, please do calculate paying less on account of attending fewer sessions. As needed, sessions will be recorded and uploaded to a private link.

FILMMAKING FOR TEENS

  • This four week workshop will cover the filmmaking process in four steps: concept, storyboarding, shooting and assembly. Fun and hands-on weekly exercises will be shared. It’s designed to give participants a sense of independence, confidence in their creative process and ownership of their ideas.

  • LEVEL
    Open to ages 10 - 16.

    COHORT SIZE
    3 - 5 participants

    DATES
    This cohort is currently being formed. If you wish to participate, fill out the intake form and provide info about your preferred schedule. The dates and times of upcoming cohorts will be determined by majority.

    WORKSHOP FEE
    $200 for 4 or 5 sessions (determined by cohort size.)

    MATERIALS
    Access to a mobile phone/tablet to capture and edit footage.
    Access to a computer for virtual meetings.
    Participants will be encouraged to use apps to edit their own project.

MASK MAKING FOR IRONIC CEREMONIES

  • This workshop guides you through a series of exercises exploring how to make masks with unconventional materials. Create a mythology for your mask with a backstory, theme song and ceremonial importance.
